Siri Will Be Launched in Chinese
Voice assistant features in iPhone 4S is reportedly going to increase her ability to speak Japanese, Chinese and Russian.
Citing information from an Apple engineer, DoNews, a Chinese tech site said that currently Siri version of Chinese, Japanese and Russian is in the testing stage and ready to be presented next month.
If true, this information confirms Apple’s earlier promise to bring Siri that supports Chinese, Japanese, Russian, Korean, Italian and Spanish in 2012.
Another source quoted by ZDNet, Friday (10/02/2012) says, Siri will not only support the Chinese language, but also local information and navigation systems.
As is known, until now Siri’s ability to speak only limited in English, French and German. But users of other languages outside the three languages are commonly used Siri in English. Sometimes, Siri in English version can’t capture the intent of the speaker due to differences in the local dialect.
