Macworld 2012 Show off MyBook Thunderbolt Duo
Macworld | iWorld lasts on 26 to 28 January 2012 at the Moscone Center, San Francisco. This event is an annual event dedicated to Apple lovers products by Apple’s partner. In this event the supporting manufacturers show off a variety of Apple products including the latest technology that is capable of supporting the development of music and art. Products and services provided for users of Apple products ranging from ordinary fans up to the professionals also gadget maniacs that can all be seen at MacWorld | iWorld.
Of the many interesting things at Macworld, is the artificial MyBook Thunderbolt Duo made by WDC which is capable to attract the attention of visitors. As can be seen from the photos, Thunderbolt drives this duo has the same look as the hardware two MyBook drives ever before.
Although the new models look the same but it has two ports that allow Thunderbolt connected to each other to create a single logical drive. WDC demonstrate four devices connected to Thunderbolt, Thunderbolt MyBook each 3TB Duo with two drives, so the total of 24TB that appear on the desktop as a single device with 24TB.
Each of these drives in each unit can be replaced and configured both for RAID 0 or RAID 1. This product will be available in the first quarter of 2012 but the manufacturer has not provided detailed information about the price.
