iOS Will Never Beat Android
From the latest survey is known that in the fourth quarter of 2011 the increase of iOS devices users are quite large in America. It could not be separated from the release of iPhone 4S which was also ahead of the Christmas holiday season when people are busy buying gifts is none other than the iPhone as well iPad.
Although iPhone sales are very high at the end of 2011 and then but the site ZDNet says that it is not an indication for the iOS to beat Android. That’s because users of Android devices will still be more than the users IOS devices.
Regardless of the percentage figures provided by research institutions and market watchers, the site ZDNet mention that comparing Android and iOS like comparing chalk and cheese, or apples and oranges. There are too many differences between the two platforms to make a valid comparison. For example:
1. iOS is offered in the iPhone and iPad only by one company; Apple. And iOS is a platform that is controlled very tightly. On the other hand, Android is an open platform and used by various manufacturers that have very much variety.
2. If you buy the iOS devices then you should buy a product with the Apple brand. There is no other choice. Instead if you want to buy Android handsets, people tend more to consider than the brand or the manufacturer of the fact Google was the one who is behind the operating system.
3. There are more options that can be ‘felt’ in the Android market. Called the ‘perceived’ because many of these products is an illusion and is largely based on branding. With the iPhone or iPad, you only have two choices: like it or not.
4. Android handset is available in a variety of prices, ranging from most expensive to very cheap.
With the above reasons that’s why comparing the IOS and Android called in vain. Research institutions could have put Android sales data and iOS devices in the figures but basically too many differences to be compared or judged to be worthy conclusion.
In the long run iOS will not be able to beat Android dominance. The reason why the same with the Mac OS can never beat the dominance of Windows OS. Yes, the reason there is in diversity. Apple will likely sell millions of devices and make lots of money from the sales of iPhone and iPad but the diversity of iOS products will never be as much as Android.
Not just one variety, but there are so many. Starting from different manufacturers, models, pricing, branding also features. Diversity is what makes Android excels on all fronts and the diversity that will also make Android still win the competition.
