HTC Will Focus on Quality and Reduce The Quantity

Last year HTC along with many other manufacturers revealed a large number of Android devices, and it seems like they were focusing on the launch in 2012. HTC UK Chief, Phil Roberson on Mobile Magazine says that this year the Taiwanese manufacturer is planning to focus more on a small number of device models, not just the quantity.

“We must return to focus on what makes us great, the hardware is impressive and the customer experience. We ended the year 2011 with a product that far more than the original. Apparently we are trying to do too much. So the year 2012 seems to be about giving our customers something special. We need to ensure that we do not deviate too far from the launch of the product segment with a lot of different SKUs, “said Phil Roberson.

This is certainly a good news, with all the different devices out there, some are not getting updates in time because HTC is focusing to update their newer phones. And this is also quite good for consumers because it saves them from wasting by buying the latest devices that continue to be updated. Motorola also said that they plan to reduce the production of new devices in 2012.

Does the operator can accept the idea? Is Motorola, HTC and other manufacturers will still launch a new device every week? What do you think, do you agree with plans to reduce the production of this new device?
