Apple Will Complete iPhone 5 With NFC Technology

Near Field Communication or NFC is a technology developed to support mobile payment. A number of Android smartphones on the market today have been equipped with NFC and for the support Google has teamed up with MasterCard.

Associated with the growing popularity of NFC, Ed McLaughlin as emerging payments leader in the MasterCard said that he had discussions with Austin Carr of Fast Company in order to discuss the future of credit cards, “We are growing very rapidly towards the world outside of the plastic. In many respects, plastic is only a packaging. ”

The future of on-the-go payment could be based on NFC but unfortunately adoption and availability are very slow and limited. NFC is already available in some high-end Android smartphones but MasterCard argued that these new technologies will explode if iPhone also has it.

McLaughlin said that a number of smartphone manufacturers have been ready to release products with NFC support and cooperate with MasterCard. When asked whether Apple was one of those manufacturers, McLaughlin was reluctant to answer.

“Um, there are some … like I said, [I do not know] that every manufacturer. We have discussions with our colleagues and they asked us not to disclose this, and we obey it. ”

Then if the mobile payment industry does want Apple to take part into the business? “Certainly,” said McLaughlin. “As a trader who wants to give the best service for consumers – I think every provider who is sensitive to the desire of consumers will take advantage of NFC technology in its products,” said MacLaughlin.

Ok, it seems Apple has done a deal with MasterCard to provide NFC technology on Apple products. But about whether the mobile payment services will exist in iPhone 5, we look forward with its release.
